Gordon Park Brazilian Waxing
At Cocoa & Cream we understand that waxing can be an uncomfortable experience, but our
beauty therapist takes pride in providing a relaxing and comfortable experience for you. We use products that are safe on even sensitive skin.
What is it?
Unlike a Bikini wax, a brazilian removes the hair from your bikini area, top, front, sides and back. Waxing lasts much longer than shaving and after your first appointment, it varies from person to person, but on average, it takes 3-4 weeks for hair to start growing back. It is also much gentler on the skin in the long run. Our staff are experienced professionals who can remove hair without causing irritation or rashes that may occur with shaving or an epilator. Unlike shaving, waxing removes the hair from the root, which will eventually cause the hair to become weaker, softer and thinner.
How to prepare?
You need to allow your hair to grow back to at least half a centimetre so the wax is able to grip better. A gentle exfoliation a couple of days before your appointment can help prevent ingrown hairs. If you are worried about the pain, a few steps you can take to minimise it can include cutting down on alcohol and caffeine on the day, as these can actually effect how sensitive your skin is. Avoid tanning for at least 24 hours beforehand and you can take some pain reliever 30 minutes before your appointment to help lessen the pain. We also recommend wearing loose clothing, as you may be a bit uncomfortable after your appointment.
